Hey buddies...that sounded weird. Hey everyone, so I hoped you were looking at my STN Blogs page because this week I’m talking about my top three moments/ learnings from the STN trip. There are so many amazing things that happened, that I want to share with you guys. But, first of all I’m lazy and second of all I want you guys to not be overwhelmed. So let’s get right into it. My top three moments/ learnings are getting over my fear of roller coasters, going to the famous Disney Animation Studios, and learning about being proud of my work no matter what or where it places in.
First of all, I got over my fear of rollercoasters. I know what your thinking. She’s 13 and is afraid of roller coasters? Well yes, yes I was. Just the ones with the big drops and upside downs. But on this trip, I went on as much as I can. Except for one and it was California scream. In the beginning I did not want to go on it like at all, but then it started looking like a lot of fun so I wanted to go on it. But two times, the ride was closed so that must've been a sign. I also went on a ride called Splash Mountain and it was so much fun. And there was one ride, where we were all in the raft and it was spinning around and around. There was also super fun drops! It was probably one of my favorite rides.
Secondly, I absolutely loved going to Disney Animation Studios for a tour. I SAW JOSH GAD!!!! That was probably my favorite part, even though the tour was really good. We got to see how the disney movies include so much concentration and jobs. To explain, it takes more than 700 people just to make one movie. That’s a lot of people to keep track of, especially when it comes down to who makes the deadlines and stuff. Also, animation probably takes most of that amount of people because of how much frames that have to be made.
Lastly, I learned about being proud of my work no matter what or where it places in. To explain, I realized that the only important thing is being proud of your work. And of course it feels awesome to win a medal or a trophy, but when you finish something and you're proud of it, there’s no beating that feeling. After I came back from the trip I watched my anchoring video, and I didn’t think of what place we scored it in, only how awesome we felt turning it in. That was probably one of the biggest lessons I learned on this trip.
In conclusion, this trip had many highlights and moments that stuck out to me. But these three really got into my head. I am so blessed to have all these memories with my class and all my friends in it. It would not be the same if just one person wasn't there. So this wraps up this week's blog, if you would like to read about what I did over the trip, go visit my STN Blogs page. BYE!!!
