Hey guys, have you ever had a class where you had to face a really tough challenge. Well, in my media class things can get pretty tough, but it's still fun. Now this class I have three really tough challenges so far. First of all, radios. My radios are due next week and I'm stressing because last year my partner only did the hard stuff. Also, finishing my project, and doing my website.
To start off with, radios are not really my favorite at all. For example, it's like your basically adding something super hard to your schedule and it piles everything up. I do feel confident about my radio scripts and all I can do is hope there ok. Remember this is all knew to me and that's what makes everything so hard. When I started doing Radios last year I loved it, but that's because I only had to do one, but now I have to do 2 and edit. I have to edit three because I'm still in the process on teaching my partner how to edit. To get over this challenge, I'm planning on finishing editing on Tuesday then showing him on Wednesday or Thursday. Hopefully, they'll be ok and will make it onto the radio.
Secondly, I have to finish my project which I already completed a first draft, but now I have to make it better. The thing about my story is the story will go off sometimes, and that means you have to record everything and edit everything all over again, which is a really big pain. Right now, me and my partner are just trying to get more interviews and b-roll of the students. I just really wish we had more time throughout the year for this story so I could catch more interesting parts of the story, but it's ok.
Last but not least, blogs. They can get very difficult for me to do. Especially this last week, I've been focusing my mind on the Radios and project, that I had no clue about blogs. It was up on my mountain of stuff to do. And of course I was lazy not to finish them in time, but next time I want to finish them in time. No, I don't want to just finish them. I want to show that I got these blogs right where I want them. So from now on, I'm going to write down blogs in my planner and have my parents remind me until I do them.
To conclude, everyone has challenges, but it's really about how you take them on. You can chose to overcome them, or you can just leave them on the side like trash. I learned that those challenges will always come back no matter what you do. That's what makes you stronger and smarter in life.
Hey guys, this week I'm doing my free blog on the new upcoming movie, "Sing." I'm so excited to see this for so many reasons, but in this movie there is also a lot of good media things. First of all, the animation a couple years has gone from really bad to outstanding. I remember seeing those movies where the characters look like play-do, but now the characters look human like. It's weird but cool at the same time. Secondly, the audio is really good, now I don't really like working with audio but this movie has brought to my attention that the audio makes it sound and look better. Last but not least, it's just funny and hilarious. Why I'm saying that is because a writer or a director needs to know the story inside and out in order to have a sense of humor and a good imagination. Because that's what makes the story go on and on. Well, now I'm just going to show you the trailer. Here you go!
That face tho;) First vlog and so excited for many more.
Hey! Today I will be showing you guys a very epic movie trailer. I LOVE MARVEL, but I'm starting to love DC because of all the movies that are coming. Like Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, etc. The one I will be showing you today is called, "Justice League." It features Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash, Aquaman, Superman, and Cyborg in it. It's about them becoming a team to fight off intruders from the other worlds. I really love the shots they use because it's hard to match such quality with creativity, especially when it comes down to heros and villians. The effects they use are absolutely breathtaking and I would want to learn how to do them in the future. Another reason why I love this trailer is because you have to be extra smart when filming. To explain, there's a lot of DC fans out there and if you even screw up once, there's going to be some nasty complaints about that. Well, enough of me talking. Here's the trailer!
Hey guys, I'm so excited to be doing blogs again. It's a lot of fun being back to media and blogging is definitely one of the things that I missed the most. Last year, one of the things I did for media was set goals and I reached most of them, but this year I'm planning on reaching all of them. Without further a do, my top three goals to reach for this first quarter are to do 3 vlogs. Now if you know me, I'm weird but when it comes to putting myself in front of a screen, I'm not the best for it. But I'm still going to try. Number 2 is to get straight A's and my very last goal is to not let my partner down,(no pressure.)
First of all I want to do 3 vlogs just to try something new and if it doesn't work out then it doesn't work out, but I'm going to try. For example, last year I did a vlog and it was very hard because it wouldn't load in time, so it was a day late and I'm thinking that if I do vlogs this year I need to have the timing right before the deadline which is pretty hard. But, I mean it's fun and definitely interesting to see yourself talking to a camera and not writing down five paragraphs of words on a single blog page. Also, I absolutely love youtube and to act like your a youtuber is super fun.
Secondly, my goal is to be able to get straight A's for this first quarter and quarters to come. I'm very scared and nervous when it comes down to report cards but as cheesy as it sounds I believe that if I truly work hard enough, I will get the best grades that I deserve. Sometimes I get B’s, last year I got some B's on my report card, but that still was a good year for me. The thing about this year is I want it to be a great year. I want to see those big red A’s on my test and assignments. I will get B’s or probably grades lower than that, but that’s just life. Not everything will be perfect, even if you try your very best.
Lastly, my ultimate goal is to not, not even once let my partner down. this year I had to step up for media and mentor a person/student younger than me and doesn't know as much as the returnees. I'm going to try my hardest on inside scoops, my projects, my kahoot games, and anything else that I help her and work with her on. It’s definitely something that I look forward too, but at the same time I’m super nervous. I want to be there when she needs help with setting up the tripod and camera or editing. When I first came into media I barely knew nothing, but my partner showed me how all of it works and I want to do the same.
To conclude, I feel confident for this upcoming quarter and I hope that I reach these goals. It's definitely different from last year because I was just coming to middle school feeling so lost and terrified if I could pass my classes, turn in my projects on time, or even concentrate on things I positively needed to know. I feel more calm this year knowing what I know now and not questioning every move I make. Well that's my blog for this week and one more will be posted above. BYE!!!
