What's up guys! So this past week was President's Day! Because of this, my classes blog topic was going to be based around what we think are 3 of the most important traits of a president. Three important traits to me are humility, kindness, and being trustworthy. These are all so important and here's some reasons why!
First of all, one trait a president should definitely have is humility. We do not want a president who goes around posting stuff about him/her and then having a bunch of our citizens think that they don't care about us, or what we have to say. To explain, I feel that are president should feel that we're all equal and no that if he's going to lead this country, he will need all of the citizens votes, hearts, and faith in him. It's like if a manager boasted about him always getting a promotion and none of the workers do, those workers aren't going to want to work for him anymore. They're going to think that he doesn't care about them.
Secondly, another trait a president should have is kindness. To me, I think that a president should be willing to share his ideas and not having to yell all the time. Also, be able to take other people's ideas into consideration. A lot of times when people are in charge they always have power so they don't really like engaging in conversation, but for a president you need to be kind so you can talk with people and find out how to make our country amazing. I feel like this is a really big trait because we have to show it so why shouldn't the leader of our country?
Lastly, a trait is trustworthy. You can't have a president that will go leaking very important information into different countries. You have to be able to be trustworthy enough to keep that information inside our country and not let it go out everywhere. Plus, if someone tells you something you can't spill it all over the news like how some of our past presidents have. This is the biggest trait to me because it's like us. We always tell people something and then it spreads around, but when you're a president you can't do this. It becomes a huge problem that you can't afford to fix.
To conclude, humility, kindness, and being trustworthy are 3 major traits of being a great president. They are all so important and right now we really, really need our president to show these. There also super amazing traits from our past president, Barack Obama. Now let's see if our new president can fill his shoes!
Hey guys, so right now media is running our school's morning announcements. It's going pretty good, but in the beginning it was a little rough for me. I've come up with three ways to make the announcements better for the audience. My three ways are to talk about more things related to next years classes, more Kauai events, and maybe just ask the audience what they want to see.
First of all, in the announcements I was thinking that we should talk about next years classes because it can educate the audience more about what they're signing up for. To explain, one of the announcers could mention that there's a dance class next year and explain what you do in the class. They could also talk about who's teaching it and what the class offers to our lives. I would really like to see this on the announcements because I also have questions of my own.
Secondly, I thought that there should be more Kauai events. For example, if there's a basketball game, we should know about it. In a lot of schools, kids are stuck to technology. We need to get our more, and announcing these events could really help. We already announce events, but I think all we need to do is announce more sports. A lot of my friends do football and swim. Maybe announcing these events, could bring the non-athelets to these games and make them want to do sports.
Lastly, I think we should ask the audience what they want to see. The best way to entertain an audience is to know how they're entertained. For instance, one announcer could say, "Hey, we were wondering what improvements you would want to see on the announcements. Tell your teacher to email Mr.M your suggestions and we will try to put them in." I think this would really help the announcements become more exciting to the students. Plus, a lot of students have really good ideas out there that we shouldn't ignore.
To conclude, these are three ways to improve the announcements. I hope we get to try them out and see how they do. Our media classes goal is to be good to great and I think this really goes into our announcements too.
